ESUT TEACHING HOSPITAL

Enugu State University of Science and Technology Teaching Hospital (ESUTTH), Parklane Hospital is a state tertiary health institution owned and operated by the Enugu State government. It transformed from a nursing home established in 1930 for the colonial master to a first-class hospital for government officials and the elite in 1952. During the Nigerian civil war that lasted from 1967 to 1970, it was converted to a general hospital which served the purpose of treating the victims of war. The hospital gradually and progressively expanded to accommodate the establishment of Maternity, Paediatric and Surgery facilities in 1985. The hospital was upgraded in November 2005, to a specialist institution and later to a Teaching Hospital by May 2006.
